Primelayer, presented in Tondela the platforms “SADGE /VIGIA”, for support of decision making by civil protection. In the platform, it is given information of higher risk areas, meteorological alerts among other available resources.
Eduardo Cabrita, Minister of Internal Administration, and General Duarte Costa, Operational Commander of the National Civil Protection Authority have been at the event, highlighted the need and importance of the platform. Duarte Costa, adds “it would be important that these platforms could be expanded to other regions”.
As part of the CIM Coimbra Intermunicipal Region Risk Management Plan, the technology tool was recently presented as an example in Brussels and integrates the space and satellite information from the European Space Agency (ESA) Copernicus.
This program is currently used in the Coimbra Intermunicipal Community Region (CIMRC) and the Viseu Dão Lafões Intermunicipal Community (CIMVDL)
